Funeral services for Mrs. Opal Mae “Nana” Armfield are scheduled for 2 PM Friday, December 30, 2022 in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Bruce Culp officiating. A time of visitation will be held Thursday, December 29, 2022 from 5 PM - 7 PM at Goldens.
Mrs. Armfield, a member of Hillview Baptist Church, passed away Sunday, December 25, 2022 at the age of eighty-six. She loved the Lord and her church family dearly. Mrs. Armfield was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who spoiled her family immensely, especially her husband. She was known as “Nana” to her family, as well as, everyone in her community. Mrs. Armfield enjoyed bird watching and tending to her plants and flowers. She was known for her “green thumb” and having the ability to make anything grow. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew her!
She is survived by daughters, Darlene Kinard and husband, Richard, Sonya Britt and husband, Dan; daughter-in-law, Patty Armfield; sons-in-law, David Brown, and Randy White; twenty-two grandchildren; and forty-two great grandchildren.
Mrs. Armfield is preceded in death by husband, C.M. Armfield; mother, Ruth Cotton; father, Jessie Cotton and wife Julia; children, Dewayne Armfield, Cheryl Brown, Vicki White, Leon “Bam” Armfield and his wife, Kathy.
Serving the family as pallbearers will be J.D. Armfield, Eric Armfield, Matt Brown, Caleb White, Wade Armfield and Tyler Armfield.
