Obituary of Joseph L McKnight

Funeral services for Mr. Joseph L. McKnight, age 86 are scheduled for 12 PM Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Stuckey and Bro. Dwight Fulton officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 AM until 12 PM, prior to the service at Golden’s. Mr. McKnight, retired IPCO and owner operator of McKnight’s heat and air, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2023. He was a member of Bonne Idee Assembly of God. He loved fishing, camping, reminiscing and visiting with family. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Joyce Jeanette McKnight; daughter, Sharon Delaine Aulds and husband Todd; son, Farrell DeWayne McKnight; sisters, Geneva Britton, Carra Duncan, Laura Mae Myers and husband Harold, Elaine Sims and husband Cecil; grandchildren, Krystal Mallory Bougues and husband Eric, Peyton Alexander Aulds, Hollen Rayne Aulds; great grandchildren, Parker DeWayne McKnight, Laila Presley Bougues, Brooklyn Kahne Bougues and numerous nieces, nephews and other family. Mr. McKnight is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph William and Betty McKnight; sister Eva Ezell, sister Mildred Gwin; brothers, Edward McKnight and Clifton McKnight. The family would like to extend a special Thank You to Elara Home Health and Hospice for their care of Mr. McKnight.
