Obituary of Bobby L. Kelly

Mr. Bobby L. Kelly, 80, was born on June 1, 1942 to T.L. (Dale) and Marie Kelly in Oran, MO, and went to heaven to be with our Lord and Savior on January 26, 2023.
He grew up in Collinston, LA, where he was the Mayor for 25 years and a Cotton Farmer for over 50 years. He later retired from farming and moved to Farmerville, LA, on Lake Darbonne. Mr. Kelly was on the original building committee of the First Baptist Church of Collinston, where he also served as a Deacon. The things he enjoyed the most in life were spending time with his family and driving a tractor on Kelly Brother’s Farm.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-four years, Dianne Rogers Kelly; daughter, Melissa Kelly Sawyer; son, Bobby Dale Kelly and wife Larke; grandchildren, John David Sawyer II, Jake Kelly and wife Olivia, Katy Kelly, Briley Kelly, Hillary Simpson, and husband Sean, and daughter Caroline, and Kali Sawyer. He also leaves behind his aunt, Betty Kelly; sister-in-law, Sandra Rogers; and his and nephews and friends.
Mr. Kelly is preceded in death by his parents, his grandparents, T.E. and Cassie Kelly; uncle J.R. Kelly; mother and father-in-law, Clifton “Pip” and Dorothy“Dot” Rogers; and brother-in-law Clifton Rogers, Jr..
The family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Parkinson's Foundation or to the American Cancer Society.
