Obituary of Walter William "DD" Hull, Sr.

Funeral services for Mr. Walter William “DD” Hull, Sr. age 86, of Farmerville, La., are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, February 16, 2023 at the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Paul Laird officiating. Interment will follow in Christ Church Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 12 noon until 2 p.m. Thursday. Walter, a retired computer operator for International Paper Company and U.S. Army veteran passed away Monday, February 13, 2023. He proudly served in the military from November 7, 1956 until October 27, 1959 where he ranked top security clearance with the U.S. Army security agency as a morse code intercept in Bad Aibling Germany. Everyone knows that Walter was an avid LSU fan! He loved animals and could not stand to see an animal abused. Anyone that knew Walter, knew of his love for his two dogs, a black lab named “Buddy” and his beautiful pomeranian “Miss Ellie”. Walter is survived by his wife of 20 years, Patsy Culp Hull; daughters, Kim Ritchie and husband Andy, Ashley Bray and husband Shane; step children, Donna Frank and Brenton Albritton; sister-in-law, SuEllen Lithgoe; grandchildren, Walter “Trey” Hull, Jessica Hull, Hunter Bray, Mason Bray, Parker Bray; step granddaughter, Kaitlyn Frank and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alton and Martha Jane Hull; son, Walter William “Mark” Hull, Jr.; sisters, Jane Bubnich, Sarah Martin Gandy; brother, Alton N. Hull, Jr. and grandson, Aiden Bray. The family wishes to give a special thank you to Dr. Carter Cox and the Veteran Administration Home based Primary Care Team.
