Obituary of William Michael Moore

Graveside funeral services for William Michael Moore, age 79, are scheduled for 11 AM Monday, February 20, 2023 at Memorial Park Cemetery with Bro. Dennis Hackler officiating. Visitation will be held from 9 AM until 10:30 AM, February 20 at Golden funeral home. Mr. Moore, a resident of Bastrop, LA, passed away Thursday, February 16, 2023. He enjoyed gardening, tending to his fruit trees and tinkering with small engines. He loved his dog, Coco and his cat, Kit Kat and especially enjoyed his time spent with his wife Bonnie in the sunroom watching the birds. He never met a stranger and loved to visit with people. Mr. Moore is also a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps who served during the Vietnam War. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Bonnie Moore; children, Guy Gregory and wife Patti, and John Gregory; grandchildren, Nick Gregory, Kelli Gregory, Molly Gregory Jumonville and husband Brandt and Tanner Gregory; great grandchildren, Charlie Jumonville, Madelyn Gregory, Addison Gregory, Miley Kate Gregory; a brother, Richard Moore; and niece, Ashlea Moore. Mr. Moore is preceded in death by his parents, Ira Jay and Birdie Moore; and nephew, Jay Moore.
