Obituary of Erica Nicole Hale

Memorial services for Erica Nicole Hale will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, March 7, 2023, in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Doug Edwards officiating. Erica, a resident of Bastrop, LA, passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at the age of thirty-three. She was known as a very loving person with a kind and free spirit. Her son, Ja’Kolbie, was the love of her life, and she loved him with all her heart. Erica loved everyone and was a very real, and outspoken person. She will be missed dearly! Erica is survived by her parents, Donald and Brenda Hale, and Rose and Keith Gray; grandmothers, Jeannette Andrepont (“Big Nanny”), Bille Estep “Mamaw Billie”, and Joann Ward; great grandmother, Ann Kennedy; son, Ja’Kolbie Glen Kelley Hale; sister, Samantha Harris; brothers, Chris Hale, Joey Fontenot, Eric Fontenot, Mark Fontenot, Keith Gray and wife, Kristin, Matthew Gray and wife, Morgan, Jeremy Gray and wife, Sarah; special friend, Matthew Marrow; two “fur babies”, Walter and Rocko; and numerous, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her grandfathers, L.W. Ward, Sr, and Roy Estep.; paternal grandparents, Darlene and Arnold Hale; and uncle, Arnold David Hale.
