Memorial services for Mrs. Fay J. Herrington Butler, of Bastrop, LA, are scheduled for 2 PM Sunday, April 2, 2023 at Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 1 PM until 2 PM Sunday, prior to the service.
Mrs. Butler, a retired lead billing clerk at International Paper Company, passed away Monday, March 6, 2023 at the age of seventy-eight. After retiring from International Paper, Mrs. Butler got her CDL and drove an 18 wheeler with Mr. Owen for ten years. She loved her family and her furbabies. Mrs. Butler enjoyed traveling and going on cruises visiting Alaska, Hawaii twice, and Bermuda.
She is survived by her husband of fifty-seven years, Owen C. Butler; son, Mitchell Owen Butler; sister, Janice King of Crossett, AR; grandchildren, Courtney Renee Butler Hull and husband, Charlie, Melody Anne Butler Rubin and husband, Alex, Jamie Mann, Martina Dudasova-Germany, and Simona Dudasova; great grandchildren, Payton Hull, Ethan Hull, Collin Hull, and Miles Rubin.
Mrs. Butler is preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Mabel Herrington; son, Dr. William Carlos Butler; sister, Mackie Edington; and brothers, Ray Herrington, and Larry Herrington.
