Obituary of Tambera Taylor Travis

Tambera Taylor Travis (Tammy) passed away on March 10, 2023, at the age of 63. She was a beloved member of the Bastrop community her entire life. Tammy was a dedicated wife and mother for over 35 years. In her spare time, Tammy enjoyed playing golf and spending time with friends and family. Tammy is preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Gary Lester Travis; son, Garrett Taylor Travis; mother, Georgia Sue Taylor, and father, Claude Irving Taylor. She is survived by her stepdaughter, Emily Travis Free; stepson, Gary Michael Travis; grandson, Logan Cole Travis; sisters, Sherry Lynn Austin and Stacy Marie Maxwell; brother, Jerry Lee Taylor; and many other family and friends. A special thanks to her "other daughter" Taylor Gentry Brown and friend, Larry Coon Carter, for taking care of Tammy for the past few years. A memorial service will be held at the Morehouse Country Club on March 22, 2023, from 5-7 PM.
