Graveside services for Theresa Atkins will be held on March 25th at 11:00 a.m. at the Simsboro Cemetery, Simsboro, La. Pastor Rick Carter will be officiating.
Theresa was born on November 4, 1948, in Monroe, La. And passed away on March 17, 2023 in West Monroe, La. She is retired from Parker Wholesale Paper as a salesperson.
She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Wanda Chatham, her husband Jimmie Atkins and her son John Lewis Segars, II.
She is survived by her son Michael Shane Segars, brother Jeff Chatham (Carla), her sisters Cindy Thompson, Mona Chatham, and Georgi Mitchell (David), and numerous nieces and nephews along with her beloved cat “Fat Cat”.
Theresa enjoyed gardening and had a green thumb. She enjoyed fishing and traveling with her late husband. She spent many years traveling, playing cards and enjoying life with her three sisters/best friends. Family was very important to Theresa. She had a long career in sales and developed long lasting friendships with her clients. She will be missed by all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers donations would be appreciated for the Ouachita Animal Shelter or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
