Funeral services for Mr. Douglas W. Barton, Sr. are scheduled for 11 AM Saturday, March 25, 2023 in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Rainey officiating. Interment will follow in Musgrove Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday March 24, from 5 PM until 7 PM at Golden’s.
Mr. Barton passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at the age of seventy-three. He was a Transmission mechanic his whole life. Mr. Barton loved hunting, fishing, and all dogs, especially his.
He is survived by his son, Douglas Wayne Barton, Jr (Booty)and wife, Odie, daughter, Christine Tharp (Sissy) and husband, Calvin, son, Keith Allen Barton (Tutor) and wife, Frances; brother, Ricky Barton; sister, Sandy Kay Barton; grandchildren, Blake (Leroy), Brittney (Brit Brit), Cannon (Candy Man), Summer Etheridge and husband, BJ, Patricia Mondragon and husband, Amado, Chad Ryan Daigle, Zach Pete Barton, Gabby Rutherford, and Noah Barton; great grandchildren, Trinity, Serenity, Aiden, Kinsley, Willie, Korbin(Peanut), Dakota (Bocephus), Cooper (Bubba), Javi(PeeWee), Jozie (Baby Girl), Olivia, Jacob, Jaden and Colton. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Mr. Barton is preceded in death by his wife, Teresa Roxanne Barton; son, Pete Barton, parents; Harold and Faye Barton. Brothers; Louie Barton and Charles Barton.
Serving as pallbearers will be, Calvin Tharp, Korbin Rainey, BJ Ethridge, Chad Daigle and Cannon Tharp.
