Obituary of Ronald "Ron" Aubrey Evans

Graveside services for Mr. Ronald “Ron” Aubrey Evans will be held at 2 PM Friday, March 31, 2023 at Hughes Chapel Cemetery with Bro. Tim Post officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the graveside service, from 12:30 pm until 1:30 pm at Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Evans, a retired employee of Keystone Automotive passed away March 28, 2023 surrounded by his family at the age of 83. He will be remembered as being a simple man and a jack of all trades. He loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren. Mr. Evans loved his Lord and Savior and prayed often. He enjoyed sports and was very competitive. He was a proud United States Army Veteran, having spent several years stationed in Germany. Mr. Evans is survived by his wife, Grace Evans; daughters, Annette Gongre and husband Randy of South Carolina, Cathy Pittman and husband Donnie of Florida; sons, Thomas Watts and wife Christine of Louisiana, Henry Watts and wife Mary of Texas, John Anthony Evans and wife Deborah of Louisiana, Michael Evans and wife Polly of Louisiana; sister, Edna Fay Jordan of Louisiana and brother, Ray Evans also of Louisiana; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, L.A. and Louise Evans; first wife, Bonnie Sue Evans; son, Jim Watts; siblings, L.A. Evans Jr., Irwin Evans, Benny Samuel Evans, Huey Franklin Evans, Jeanette Ray, Kenneth Evans and Mary Stanley. Serving the family as honorary pallbearers will be Anthony Evans, Dillon Evans, Billy Jordan, Tommy Jordan, Curtis Jordan and Craig Evans.
