Funeral services for Mr. Robert L. Hayden, Sr. are scheduled for 10 AM Tuesday, April 11, 2023, in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Rick Carter officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, April 10, 2023, from 5-7 PM at Goldens.
Mr. Hayden, a resident of Bastrop, LA, passed away Thursday, April 6, 2023, at the age of seventy-two. He retired from International Paper Company and was known for being an avid hunter and fisherman. He cherished his family and enjoyed spending time with them.
Mr. Hayden is survived by his sons, Robert L. Hayden, Jr., James E. Hayden and wife, Cynthia; sisters, Patricia Hayden Cockrell, Cathy Hayden Myrick and husband, Ronnie; grandchildren, Gavyn Hayden, Bella Hayden, Hollie Hayden; great grandchildren, Piper Rice, Ryder Rice, Haiden White; and mother-in-law, Bessie Holley Irby.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Clara Hayden; and wife, Inez Hayden.
Serving as pallbearers will be Heath Porter, Philip Porter, Gavyn Hayden, Rob Hayden, Steve Hayden, and Charles Franklin.
