Funeral services for Mrs. Nelwyn Marie Tubbs, age 85, of Bastrop, LA, are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday, April 17, 2023, at Cherry Ridge Baptist Church with Bro. Dennis Hackler officiating. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Monday at the church.
Mrs. Tubbs, a member of Cherry Ridge Baptist Church, passed away Thursday, April 13, 2023. She loved her church and her church family dearly. Mrs. Tubbs was a hard worker and enjoyed camping and working in her yard and flower beds.
She is survived by her husband of 16 years, Floyd Tubbs; daughter, Jerri Powell; son, Jeff Perdue; grandchildren, Jill Elias, Hollie Daniel, Sara Powell, Kristen Perdue and great grandchildren, Ella Elias, Evan Elias, Ben Daniel, Beau Daniel, Kinsley Myers and Kiley Lairemore.
Mrs. Tubbs is preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Oma Farrar; sisters, Beatrice Hood, Larue Farrar; brother, Neal Farrar and husbands, Jack Perdue and Ray Hicks.
Serving as honorary pallbearers are the deacons of Cherry Ridge Baptist Church.
