My first Memory of Morris was not too long after we moved to Sterlington in 1985.
I had a very uncomfortable rash, I thought) on my legs. He told me I had Poison Ivy.
I grew up in the country, but had never had poison Ivy. Maybe it only grows in Sterlington!

Morris was our family Doctor and Pharmacist. He took care of our family like we was his. He was a great friend and advisor to my family. The doctor prescribed me some powerful antibiotics one time and Morris called me to the back of the pharmacy and asked me why the Dr. prescribed them. I told him and he said ok you need them but eat and drink plenty while taking them. He was so concerned about me and my family always out of love and care. Rest In Peace Dear Friend and prayers go out to all of his family.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Morris since my family moved to Sterlington when I was in the 7th grade (1961). We always depended on him & his pharmacy. When I was in my teens he would join us in pick up basketball games @ the old SHS gym. He sponsored our independent basketball team in the late 60's & I am proud Albritton's Pharmacy won 1st place in the Monroe City League, I believe 1968. I don't know anyone who didn't like him. Sterlington has lost a fine person!

I remember well the rotation I did at Albritton’s during my last year in pharmacy school and after graduation occasionally. Condolences to the family on your loss.

Mr Morris was a very special man to all who knew him. I’ve known Mr Morris and Mrs Dixie my entire life. My fondest memories of him is when I was in my teens. I would go to their store and wait for meds to be filled (or any other reason I could find to hang out there) and usually a friend or two would come in and we would drink a coke and just pass the time. They always made us feel welcome. We were all one big family back in those days. I recently reconnected with Mr Morris and Mrs Dixie through their daughter and son in law, Penny and Terry. Mrs Dixie called me and we talked and so many memories came from our conversation. They were all like family to me and my family. Much love and many prayers to their family and friends. I will forever remember Mr Morris as one of the kindest men I’ve ever known.

Mr. Albritton and Mrs. Dixie were permanent fixtures at sporting events growing up. Their vehicles carried many cheerleaders, basketball and softball players, and equipment all over Louisiana. It was an honor knowing such a kind and giving person. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family.

Morris was a friend and mentor to all and was a loved and valued member of this community. I will always remember my dad (Tump Sanders) preparing biscuits and other goodies for the “breakfast club” at Morris’ pharmacy where they solved all the problems! We all lost a great friend. Our sympathies to the family. Beverly Sanders Wilhelm and Jim Wilhelm

Words are hard to come by in expressing my love for Morris and Dixie. I guess I thought Morris would live for ever because I wanted him to be in my life always. He was almost like a father to me because I could tell he cared for me and spent time talking to me when I needed talking to. Didn’t see or talk to him in his latter years but I missed him . I hated so much to see his obit today but enjoyed reading all of his accomplishments . In closing Morris RIP and know you were a descendant of probably the greatest generation of men this country has ever seen. You will be missed my friend!

I truly loved that man. Not long after we moved to Sterlington, I was told to go see “Dr Morrris “ at the drug store. I had a spot on my leg that I didn’t know what it was. He said it was a ring worm and gave me a bottle of jock itch medicine. I laughed at it but it worked. I think that was my first encounter with him. Very special man ❤️
