Obituary of Theresa Ann Carr
Please share a memory of Theresa Ann to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Theresa Ann Carr, age 58, loving sister, aunt, cousin and friend to many in the Bastrop and Log Cabin area, passed away peacefully on the morning of June 10, 2023 after a long battle with diabetes. Theresa was born on September 24, 1964 and grew up surrounded by family – all whom she loved dearly. She will be laid to rest beside her parents in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Theresa loved to play guitar, both acoustic and electric, and sing gospel along with select country tunes with her mother Carolyn Carr and sister Tammy Goodman. She played guitar and music with her whole heart.
Theresa farmed rice at Mollicy Farms while living with her parents. Later, she became a convenience store clerk in Bastrop, and worked at Hester’s Jiffy Pak for over 15 years. She was a natural at greeting and assisting customers while showing them appreciation for doing business where she worked.
Theresa’s favorite hobbies were praising God and sharing the love of Jesus with others. She had a child-like, Godly faith that won many souls to Christ. Theresa loved sharing her testimony about how God saved her life many times during her struggle with early onset diabetes. After Theresa became disabled and unable to work, she spent much of her time serving the Lord through volunteer ministries.
Theresa loved family very much. Spending time with those she loved was a priority. The only time she missed a family gathering was when she had to work. She considered going to Wal-Mart or Pecanland Mall, with family members, a fun outing. She loved helping others however and whenever she could.
Theresa’s pure heart will surely be missed. Without a doubt, Heaven gained a very special/sweet soul when she was called home.
Theresa is survived by Sandy O’Fallon, sister, and Lisa Conrad Mitleff, cousin, along with a host of others (too many to name). She is preceded in death by her beloved mother, Carolyn Carr, father, Bill Carr and sister, Tammy Goodman, along with a host of others (too many to name).
While we say goodbye to Theresa’s beautiful spirit and loving soul here on earth, we are at peace knowing that she was a believer in Jesus Christ and has moved on to sing heavenly hymns and praises.
