Obituary of Charlie Lynn Jones

There will be a time of celebration of the life of Charlie Lynn Jones held Wednesday, August 9, 2023, from 10 AM until 12 noon at Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Jones, a retired Instrumentation Technician and Electrician, passed away Monday, August 7, 2023, at the age of fifty. He loved his family and was the best son, brother, and dad. Mr. Jones was listed in Who’s Who in America for Scholastic Achievements in Computer Science and Math. He has a 3rd Degree Black Belt in Korean Tae Kwon Do and was the chief instructor for the Bastrop, LA, and Farmerville, LA, Tae Kwon Do schools. Mr. Jones had a big heart and loved helping others, including being a counselor at Freedom Challenge helping others with alcohol and drug addiction. He loved animals, especially Boston Terriers. Most of all he loved the Lord and knew the Bible well. He is survived by his wife, Renee’ Marie Jones; parents, Charles Madison and Deborah Kay Jones; grandmother, Hazel Lee Bissell of Bastrop, LA; daughter, Jacie Jones Dillon and husband, Stephen of Sterlington, LA; son, Chaz Brandon Jones and wife, Victoria of Lafayette, LA; brother, Brandon Lee Jones and wife, Laura Ann of Deer Park, TX; three grandchildren, Hazel Jones, Louie Jones, and Carter Dillon; cousin “brother”, Travis Blake Bissell; and cousin, Kimberly Earline Beal. Mr. Jones is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Henry C. Bissell and Charles Henry Jones; grandmother, Rita Laurel Allen; and uncle, Doug Lavern Bissell.
