I had the good fortune of working with Biff at USDA-NRCS. In addition to being kind and friendly, he maintained a positive attitude in the face of frustrations and was always happy to take time to share his considerable expertise. My great sympathies go out to his family and friends.

I was stunned when I got the call. Biff was one of a kind. God called a good man home. My prayers are with the family. Mrs. Handy my heart is broken for you and the family. John if you need to talk even though I'm out of state call. Peggy. I have not seen Biff happier than the last 2 years. May God watch over this entire family during this trying period. I love all of the Handy family

It cannot be repeated often enough the great, kind and always smiling guy Biff truly was. He and I spent 40+ years with NRCS and continued our careers with Ducks Unlimited. He was one of the best, devoted engineers I had the pleasure of working with. He will be sorely missed by all. RIP Biff in God’s heavenly kingdom.

What can you say about someone you have known for 60+ years in this little space!! We started to school together in First grade. All the girls thought he was sooo cute with those black framed glasses.!! And he was. Biff was a good person, friend, kind, polite and everything in between.!! And he was smart! He knew a whole lot about a lot of things!! He is going to be missed by his family/friends and all who came in contact with. There is know doubt he is with Jesus. He walked that Christian walk. Since 1990 I worked with Biff and enjoyed every minute of it, even on the week long "retreats" to Golden Meadow where we were trapped in our Engineering Training Sessions. He always had a story and smile about everything. One of the truly genuine good people that ever walked through the doors at NRCS. He can never be replaced but he will always be sorely missed. My thanks to his family for sharing him with us.

My very first memory of Biff was one of laughter. He and my Brother Gary were best of friends and Biff came over and had an 8-track tape of a very funny song. Everyone was laughing and Biff had accomplished what he wanted…to make us laugh! My last memory of Biff, he and Peggy coming to check on my mom. It made mom’s day them coming to see her. My mom said that he was so sweet! That was who Biff was and even though he was not perfect, he sure strived for perfection, human being, and a Christian man! Love you Biff! We will see again, one day!
