Obituary of Russell Glen Kelly

Funeral services for Russell Glen Kelly are scheduled for 2 PM Monday, August 14, 2023, in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Stuckey officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Grove South Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, prior to the service, beginning at 1 PM. Mr. Kelly, a resident of Sterlington, LA, passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at the age of forty-two. He enjoyed cooking, grilling, and being out in the water on his boat! Above all else, Mr. Kelly loved his children and will be missed dearly. He is survived by his mother, Paula Anders of Bastrop, LA; children, Serenity Kelly and Gabriel Kelly of Bastrop, LA; step children, Mason, Alena, and Jazmine; siblings, Misty Clifton and husband, Clif, of Freeport, FL, and James Raymond Kelly, Jr., of West Monroe, LA; step-sister, Valerie Tosspon of Lake St. John, LA; step-brothers, Brent Tosspon of Lake St. John, LA, and Antonio “Petie” Bradshaw; step-father, Tony DeJohnette of Bastrop, LA; step-mother, Jeri Sue Tosspon Kelly of Lake St. John, LA; his special Big Daddy, Preston Anders of Bastrop, LA; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Mr. Kelly is preceded in death by his father, James Raymond Kelly, Sr.; maternal grandparents, Bobby and Carolyn Jennings; and paternal grandparents, J.R. “Bobby” and Christine Kelly. Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Duncan, Corey Bennett, Josh Beach, Mason Duncan, Corey Jones, and Chris Jones. Honorary pallbearer will be Preston Anders.
