Mrs. Lola M. Mewborn passed away Saturday, August 26, 2023, at the age of ninety-one. She loved to read, and that passion led her to become a Librarian for many years, serving the Ouachita Parish Public Library. Mrs. Mewborn also loved canning and going to garage sales. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, and will be greatly missed.
Mrs. Mewborn is survived by her children, Frelston Mewborn, Jr., Michael Mewborn, and Cindy Ducker; grandchildren, Tina Carlisle, Clay Carlisle, Stephanie Burell, Ryan McKinley, Molly Mewborn, Courtney Ducker, Matthew Mewborn; numerous great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Louie and Mabel Evans; husband, Frelston Mewborn; children, Betty D. Carlisle and Shirley Mewborn; and thirteen siblings.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Ouachita Parish Public Library or the Alzheimer’s Association.
