Robert Everett Plummer, a Bastrop resident, left this life on Thursday, September 14, 2023, at the age of 80. He was born in Savannah, Georgia, on November 3, 1942, to Robert L. Plummer, Jr. and Pauline Everett Plummer. Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, November 3, 2023, at Bartholomew Methodist Church at 2:00 P.M. Everett was a life- long learner. He began singing in a school play in kindergarten, always a singer and entertainer. He sang in church, in nursing homes, even sang walking down the street! He loved to play the piano. After taking French in high school, he learned to speak fluent French, was known to read French novels, and watch French movies. He loved to read, cook, bake bread, make cheese, had taken up fermenting foods, and was an avid gardener. He was known by his sisters and brothers-in-law for his Eggs Benedict, which he usually made for them wherever they gathered. In earlier years, he was active in little theater productions in Monroe, LA; Jonesboro, LA.; and Bastrop, LA. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Everett is survived by his fur baby, Goujon; daughters, Stephanie Hart and Heather Ernst and granddaughters, Eva and Greta Ernst of Richmond, VA; sisters, Carolyn Hays and husband, Maxie of Hurst, TX; Brenda Bulloch of Bastrop, LA; brother-in-law, Al Rea of Bastrop; a niece, and a number of nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Pauline Plummer; his sister, Diane Rea; and his brother-in-law, Donnie Bulloch.
