Obituary of Janice "Jan" Ellis

Janice “Jan” Ellis, a resident of Bastrop, La, passed peacefully, surrounded by her loving family Saturday, September 16, 2023, at the age of seventy-eight. As per Jan’s request, a private ceremony will be held in her honor; with Ashton McIntyre officiating. Jan is survived by her daughter, Joni and husband Carl Whitehead and her son, Quintin Ellis, sisters; Dorothy McWilliams and Doris Carruth. Mrs. Ellis is preceded in death by her parents; Irene and Jessie McIntyre, her beloved husband; Joe Ellis, sister; Lois Evans and brother, Floyd McIntyre. The Family would like to say a special “Thank You”, to all the nieces and nephews along with extended family and friends that showed their love and support during her time of need. A very special “Thank You”, to Lee's Drugstore and her nurses at Compassus Hospice that treated her like family and took such great care of her during her illness.
