Obituary of Audrey McManus Brodnax

Funeral services for Mrs. Audrey Fay McManus Brodnax, age 88, are scheduled for 2 PM Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at Bastrop United Pentecostal Church with Rev. Dwight Fulton officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday, from 1 PM until 2 PM prior to the service. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Brodnax, a member of the Bastrop United Pentecostal Church, passed away Friday, September 29, 2023. She loved spending time in God’s Word and spending time with her family. She was the sweetest mother a child could ever ask for and the most precious wife. Her children were her most prized possession. She is survived by her husband, Joe Brodnax; children, Paula Clay, Karen Brodnax, husband Bruce, Mary Catherine Lococo, Carol Lococo Lord, husband Chuck, Cheryl Lococo Williams, husband Allen, Caren Renee Lococo Bennett, husband Bill; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings, Alton Ray McManus, Jereldean McManus Rhodes, and Madell McManus Watson. Mrs. Brodnax is preceded in death by her parents, David Victor McManus and Maloy Batten McManus; sister, Doris McManus Shirley; and brother, David Vernon McManus. Serving as pallbearers will be Bruce Brodnax, Ryan Brodnax, Carl McGaha, Chuck Lord, Jerry Rhodes and Thomas Rhodes. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Adkins and Thelda McManus.
