Obituary of Jack Donald Middleton, Jr.

Funeral services for Jack Donald Middleton, Jr of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for Thursday, January 11 in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Cathy Pruitt from Gulfport, MS officiating. A time of visitation will be held from 1-2 pm Thursday, January 11, 2024, at Golden Funeral Home with service to follow beginning at 2 pm. Jack Middleton was born on May 25, 1957, in Honolulu, Hawaii, and passed away from a lengthy illness on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at the age of 66. In his younger years, Jack was a very good baseball player, actually receiving a college scholarship for baseball. He loved to hunt and fish and really enjoyed cooking and grilling. Jack worked in the shrimp industry in New Orleans, LA for a period of time. He also worked over 30 years in construction traveling from state to state working with multiple companies. He is preceded in death by his father, Jack Donald Middleton from FL, and a sister, Sherry Leighton from NC. He is survived by his immediate family; mother- Dorothy Middleton from FL, siblings- Karrie O'Mara from NC and Jim Middleton, Jerry Middleton, Kat Solana and Josh Middleton, all from FL. He is also survived by his fiancé Shirley Pruitt of Bastrop, LA. Jack will be greatly missed by extended family members and many friends.
