Obituary of John Hunter Buatt

Funeral services for Mr. John Hunter Buatt are scheduled for 2 PM Friday, March 1, 2024 in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Phillip McCready officianting. The family will receive friends Friday, prior to the service, beginning at 1 PM.
Mr. Buatt, passed away Monday, February 26, 2024 in Shreveport, Louisiana. He retired from International Paper Company as Supervisor, having worked there from 1960-1989. Mr. Buatt also served his country in the United States Army. He loved hunting, fishing, camping on the Ouachita River, and projects (anything from wood to mechanical). Mr. Buatt was an honorary member of the Morehouse Country Club, he enjoyed playing golf and spending time with friends.
He is survived by his wife, Jane Buatt; daughter, Natalie Poche’, and husband Jimmy; son, Hunter Buatt, and wife Cathy; grandchildren, Laura Leigh Buatt, Page Buatt Wack, and husband Quentin, Katie Digilormo, and husband Jude, and Jake Poche’.
Mr. Buatt is preceded in death by his parents, H.P. and Minnie Maude Buatt.
Serving the family as pallbearers; Mark Bolding, Mark Noble, Harrison Ralph, Bill Patrick, Mike Parker and Danny Deblieux. Honorary pallbearers; John Michael Yeldell, Charles Sisk, Huey Rhodes, JB Talley and Roger Jones.
