Aunt Bokie, what a special person she was. She was the youngest of her siblings so she would play with all of us nieces and nephews for hours on that special clay hill in Spearsville, LA. She had so much energy and love for all of us. Dodgeball, softball in the pasture , and many many more. As a child I was amazed. She wasn’t afraid of a rattlesnake. She killed one with rocks as I remember. My brother said he saw her take off her shoes and chase down a mean rooster who was spurring the others. She was the best cook and hostess, handing down many wonderful recipes. My little sister said she was one of the fastest pea shellers she had ever seen. She sacrificed her time in caring for others. That seemed to give her the most pleasure. She and Uncle Bobby were sweethearts from the get go. They made the most striking couple both being so good looking. She loved her family more than anything. We will always miss her as will so many others. We love all of you and our prayers will continue for us left behind. But oh what a reunion in heaven with her beloved mother and daddy and all her siblings. My dad, George Smith thought she was so special. I know he is ready to see his baby sister.
