Funeral services for Clintern Kitchens are scheduled for 10 AM Thursday, May 2, 2024, in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home. The family will receive friends, Wednesday, May 1, 2024, from 5 PM - 7 PM at Goldens.
Mr. Kitchens, 93 of Bastrop, LA, passed away April 27, 2024, at St. Francis Medical Center. Mr. Kitchens worked as an electrician for International Paper for forty-five years, and was a co-owner of Kitchens Green Thumb Nursery for thirty-years. He served in the United States Army in the late 40's, early 50's, and loved his country. Mr. Kitchens was a dedicated and loving father and grandfather to his children and grandchildren. He was dearly loved and will be missed by all of those whose lives he touched.
Mr. Kitchens is survived by his son, Clintern “Clint” E. Kitchens, III; grandsons, Caleb Clintern Kitchens, Kristoffer “Cade” Kitchens; and step-grandchildren, Caleb Tyler Lucas, and Kaiden Paige Green.
He is preceded in death by his wife of sixty-four years, Aline Morman Kitchens; father, Clintern E. Kitchens, I; mother, Minnie Olevia Day; sisters, Jo Evelyn George and Helen Day.
Serving as pallbearers will be Caleb Kitchens, Cade Kitchens, Dewayne Massey, Caleb Lucas, Austin Carroll, Cody Robertson, Jordan Jones, and Jamson Meeks.
