Obituary of Randy Lee Carpenter, Sr.

Funeral services for Mr. Randy Lee Carpenter, age 64, of Sterlington, LA, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, June 22, 2024 at the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Dennis Hackler officiating. Interment will follow in Christ Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Friday a Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Carpenter, a retired logger, passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2024. He was a hard worker and loved his family dearly. Randy was also a true outdoorsman. He loved to deer and duck hunt, but his true passion was to be out on a lake somewhere bass fishing. Randy will be remembered for his daily "happy go lucky" attitude, his kind nature and generous heart; but most of all we will miss his warm and contagious smile. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Randy Lee Carpenter, Jr. and wife Katie, Pixie Carpenter, Chelsea Carpenter, Logan Lee Carpenter and wife Michaela; siblings, “brother and best friend”, John A. Carpenter, Jr. and wife Lisa, Tammy Lou Carpenter Sampognaro and husband Michael; grandchildren, Fisher Carpenter, Lake Carpenter, Drake Carpenter, Sophie Carpenter, and Hendrix Lee Carpenter and nieces and nephews, John, Elyssa, Lacey, Michael Allen, Ryan, Kayla, Marissa, Tabitha and John Michael. He is preceded in death by his son, Codye Carpenter; parents, John A. and Jackie Lou Carpenter and his maternal and paternal grandparents. Serving as pallbearers are Logan Carpenter, John A. Carpenter, Jr., John A. Carpenter III, Fisher Carpenter, Michael Sampognaro, John Michael Sampognaro, Michael Fuller, and Benjamin Rainey. Honorary pallbearers will be Gordon Gregg and Marty Hughes.
