Ms. Cupples passed away Sunday, June 30, 2024 surrounded by her family. To know Kathleen was to love her. She never met a stranger. She always had a welcoming smile that fit perfectly with her friendly, generous, fun-loving, spunky spirit. She will forever be remembered for her caring heart, her passion for cooking, and her love of fishing at her camp on Lake Enterprise. She is preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Edwina Graham; her husband, Kenneth Cupples; her son, Todd Rainbolt and her step-son Jimmy Cupples. She is survived by her children; her son, Doug Rainbolt (Alice), daughter, Karen (Timothy), daughter-in-law, Cindy Rainbolt, and stepdaughter, Teresa House (Bill). Kathleen is also survived by her grandchildren, Brittanie Rainbolt, Heather DeShazo (Adam), Tiffany Heilers (David), Mandy Early (Luke), Laura Thames (Jacob), Jeremy Rainbolt (Rebecca), Addison Williams, Mallory Williams, Jamie Pardon (Blake), and Lacie Ross. She is also survived by her great grandchildren, Jordyn Albertie, Brandon Rainbolt, Aiden DeShazo, Chloe DeShazo, Asher DeShazo, Kalii Ramirez, Zoe Heilers, Junior Heilers, Levi Early, Camden Early, Emma Kate Thames, Alexander Thames, Brennan Thames, Presleigh Kathleen (PK) Rainbolt, Skylar Rainbolt, Bella Cotton, Chloe Chapman, and Paislie Ross. Kathleen also leaves behind an extended family that she loved so dearly, as well as a host of friends that meant so much to her. And, last but not least, she leaves behind her precious “golden girls” — her special friend group that truly are comparable to none. Serving as pallbearers include Jeremy Rainbolt, Adam DeShazo, Jacob Thames, Brian Rainbolt, Shane Trichell, and Austin Rookard. Mama’s golden girls will serve as her honorary pallbearers. The family would like to extend a special “thank you” to Ben Hayden for caring for our mama as her provider, but also her friend for all these years. We would also like to express our gratitude to the wonderful staff (or in Kathleen’s words, “my girls”) at CommuniHealth Pharmacy for attending to her every need over the past year. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a remembrance donation of your choice to Shriner’s Hospital for Children or Walking In The Sun Rescue of Morehouse Parish.
