Obituary of Donald Lynn "Don" Johnston

Funeral services for Donald Lynn “Don” Johnston are scheduled for 2 PM Thursday, July 18, 2024 in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Russell Branch officiating. A time of visitation will be held Thursday from 1 PM - 2 PM prior to service time at Goldens. Mr. Johnston, passed away Thursday, July 11, 2024 at the age of seventy-six. He worked and retired from Entergy after being there for forty years. Mr. Johnston proudly served his country in the Army National Guard. He enjoyed dirt track racing, hunting, and fishing. His greatest love was his family. He is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years, Brenda “Mamie” Johnston; daughter, Shelley Mobley (Julian Bayless); sister, Pat Johnston; grandchildren, Molly Mobley and fiancé’ Cooper Brown. Mr. Johnston is preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Jessie Johnston; and brother, Lendal Johnston.
