Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Imagene Townsend are scheduled for 11 AM Monday, July 29, 2024, in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home, with Bro. Johnny Legg officiating. The family will receive friends Monday, prior to the service, beginning at 10 AM.
Mrs. Townsend, a resident of Bastrop, LA, passed away Thursday, July 25, 2024, at the age of eighty-one. She is survived by her husband, John C. Townsend; brothers, Ted Thomas and Fred Thomas; grandson, David Michael Lemons, and wife Victoria; great grandson, Grayson Lemons; step-son, Borden Townsend, and wife Renee’; and special friend, Glenda Hayes.
Mrs. Townsend is preceded in death by her son, David Robert Lemons; daughter, Sherrie Lemons; and her parents.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to her neighbor, Cedric and family, for their loving care of Mrs. Townsend.
