Obituary of Betty Jean Lowery Rogers

Graveside funeral service for Betty Jean Lowery Rogers is scheduled for 2 PM Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at Stevenson Cemetery, with Bro. Dalyn Helbling officiating. Services will be under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Rogers, a homemaker and resident of Bastrop, LA, passed away Sunday, August 4, 2024, at the age of ninety. She was a devout Christian and put the Lord first in every aspect of her life. Mrs. Rogers’ family was very important to her and she loved them dearly. She instilled in them how important being a Christian was, and also shared the gospel with all those she came in contact with. Mrs. Rogers is survived by her daughter, Donna Faulkenberry; son, Gale Rogers, and wife Debbie; grandchildren, Todd Faulkenberry, Brett Rogers and wife, Cali, and Brandy Rogers; great-grandchildren, Ezra Rogers, Dawson Rogers, Adeline Rogers, and Lyla Rogers. She is preceded in death by her husband of sixty-four years and the love of her life, Alfred “Sonny” Rogers; parents, Orum and Elsie Lowery; siblings, Ann Roberts, Bruce Lowery, J.L. Lowery, Billy Lowery, and Charles Lowery.
