Funeral services for Mrs. Carolyn Travis Hull are scheduled for 2 PM Saturday, August 10, 2024 in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Freeman officiating. A time of visitation will be held Saturday from 1 PM - 2 PM prior to the service. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Hull, a resident of Monroe, formerly of Bastrop, passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at the age of eighty-three. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Bastrop, LA and in later years attended North Monroe Baptist Church. She was retired from Burney’s Trend House as a salesperson, where she always greeted her customers with a smile. She loved sewing and knitting, also doing alterations for many years with her sister at their business “A Stitch In Time”. Mrs. Hull is survived by her daughter, Ashley Bray and husband Shane of Jonesboro, AR; son-in-law, Andy Ritchie of Bastrop, LA; sister, Janet Freeman of Bastrop, LA; niece, Becky Hall; nephew, Patrick Freeman; grandchildren, Walter “Trey” Hull III, Jessica Hull, Hunter Bray, Mason Bray and Parker Bray. She is preceded in death by her parents, Eli and Maureen Travis; son, Walter “Mark” Hull, Jr.; daughter, Kimberly Ritchie; grandson, Aiden Bray and brother-in-law, Dean Freeman. Serving the family as pallbearers will be Shane Bray, Hunter Bray, Mason Bray, Trey Hull, Patrick Freeman and Pat Hall. Honorary pallbearers are Andy Ritchie and Parker Bray. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial donations be made to St. Francis Medical Center NICU or to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
