Funeral services for Helen Faye “Nanny” Watt are scheduled for 2 PM Friday, September 6, 2024 in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Walt Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held Friday from 1 PM - 2 PM prior to service time.
Ms. Watt passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at the age of seventy. She enjoyed cooking for folks and was very crafty, she loved sewing. Ms. Watt had a deep belief in God and dearly loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters, Robin Grantham and husband, Michael of Swartz, LA, Susanne Dean of Bastrop, LA; sisters, Linda McDonald and husband, Bobby of Bastrop, LA, Cathy Stripling and husband, Roger of Sterlington, LA, Bobbie Sue Watt of Swartz, LA; brother, Carl Watt and wife Gisela of Ohio; sister-in-law, Rose Benson; grandchildren, Jason Fortune, Amber Grantham, and Joshua Grantham; great grandchildren, Anna Claire Fortune, Adaleigh Fortune, Jace Fortune, Marcelline Grantham, and Stephen Grantham; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ms. Watt is preceded in death by her parents, Fred Watt and Reba Freeland; son, Jack Allen Dean; and brothers, David Eugene Benson and Dennis Wayne Watt.
Mr. Carl Watt will serve as honorary pallbearer.
