Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Ruth Walker Scroggins are scheduled for 2 PM, Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at Corinth Baptist Church, with Bro. Garry Massey officiating. Interment will follow in the Hughes Chapel Cemetery and the family will receive friends on Monday evening from 5 - 7 PM at Corinth Baptist Church.
Mrs. Mary, a homemaker and resident of Bastrop, passed away Friday, September 13, 2024, at the age of eighty-four. She was a long-time and faithful member of Corinth Baptist Church. She loved her family dearly, and her favorite pastimes were playing the piano and reading her Bible.
She is preceded in death by her parents, William Ernest Walker and Martha Clydean Walker; husband, Robert Scroggins; and siblings, Charlotte Walker, Evelyn Hall, and husband Charlie Hall, and Don Walker.
Her survivors include sons, William Scroggins, and wife Mandy, and Ronald Scroggins, and wife Lyndie; sisters, Tiny Fatheree, Grace Evans, and Phyllis Hill, and husband Butch, brother, Harry Walker; and grandchildren, Garrett, Sheridan, Tori, Otto, Jacob, Lilly, and Tater.
Serving the family as pallbearers will be Mike Scroggins, Tommy Scroggins, Glen Hutchison, Frank Doyon, Bruce Humphrey, and Levi Humphrey.
