Memorial services for Mr. Shannon Scott Curtis will be held at 11 AM Saturday, October 5, 2024, in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Saturday, prior to the service, beginning at 10 AM. Mr. Curtis, a resident of Oak Grove, LA, passed away Friday, September 20, 2024, at the age of fifty-five. He was a loving, kind, and gentle soul who didn’t have a mean bone in his body. He served his country in the United States Army where he earned the Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Expert Badge with M16 Rifle, and Sharpshooter Badge with Hand Grenade. Mr. Curtis was loved dearly and will be missed by his family. Mr. Curtis is survived by his parents, Linda and Colin Curtis; sister, Kimberly Marine and John Hall(brother-in-law); foster-sister, Lesa Yates; foster-brothers, Eric and Nathan Molinar; Bonnett Aunts/Uncles: Randall and Virginia, Donna & Ricky Ward, Brenda & Bobby Key, Timothy & Lisa, Billy & Kim, Rodney and Debra, Diane; Curtis Aunts/Uncles: June & Mike Johnson, Marylyn Clawson, Jack Curtis.nephew, Ashton Curtis; great-niece, Jade Curtis; great-nephew, Saylor Chase Curtis; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and family. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Houston and Hazel Curtis; and Robert and Beatrice Bonnett; Steve Marine (brother-in-law), Bobby Gene Yates III (foster brother), Edwin Odell Bonnett (uncle), Carl Dean Curtis (uncle), Leon Curtis (uncle), Mamie Curtis Shuff (aunt), “Cookie” Curtis Clem (aunt), Misty Bonnett (cousin), Dorothy Edmonds (aunt), Mack Curtis (uncle), and Michael Clem (cousin).
