Obituary of Daniel Schwartz III

Memorial services for Daniel “Danny” Schwartz III, age sixty-five, will held at 1 PM Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at New Life Church in Bastrop, LA. Officiating the service will be his son, Joseph Anthony Schwartz. Inurnment will be held at Biloxi National Veterans Cemetery in Biloxi, MS, Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at 12:30 PM with Joseph Anthony Schwartz officiating.
Mr. Daniel passed peacefully on September 26, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was a proud Navy Veteran who served as a medic on the USS Mt. Vernon for four years. He was a member of New Life Church of Bastrop and he will be remembered for being well versed in the Bible. Music, writing and politics were some of his favorite hobbies; but they did not compare to his passion for watching his favorite team the New Orleans Saints.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah Ann “Debbie” Schwartz; daughter, Theresa Ramia Schwartz; sons, James Michael Schwartz, Samuel Christian Schwartz, Joseph Anthony Schwartz and Joseph Lebenia; sister, Rosemary Cavilee and husband, Rick of Brookhaven, MS; brothers, Joseph Schwartz and wife, Gail of Hammond, LA, David Schwartz and wife, Jennifer Le of Hammond, LA, Louis Schwartz and wife, Maureen of Bush LA, three grandchildren and numerous extended family members.
Mr. Schwartz is preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Bobbie Ruth Schwartz; grandparents, Daniel Schwartz Sr., and wife Irma, Willie Lee Pitts and James Jackson.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
