Obituary of Patrick Cole Murphy

Patrick Cole Murphy, a resident of Collinston, LA, passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at the age of thirty. He was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church and an avid LSU fan. He enjoyed 90's rock music, loved fishing, and strived to be the sunlight in anyone’s cloudy day.
He is survived by his mother, Monica Marine Murphy of Collinston, LA; father, John Phillip “Phil” Murphy, and wife Christine, of Sterlington, LA; siblings, Natasha Nguyen, and husband Terry, of Monroe, LA, Madeline Edwards, and husband Kevin, of Monroe, LA, Jackson Murphy, of Alexandria, LA, and Josh Murphy, of Sterlington, LA.
Maternal family survivors include his uncle, Pat Marine, of Los Angeles, CA; cousin, David Marine, of Aurora, CO; godbrothers, Brandon Clifton of Nashville, TN, and T.J. Gentry, and wife Miriah, of Bastrop, LA; and nephew, Thomas Gentry.
Maternal family members who preceded him in death are, grandparents, Bentley and Enid “Mike” Marine; great-grandparents, Dr. and Mrs. P.G. Marine, and Paul and Agnes Broughton; uncles, Steve Marine and Don Conerly; and godbrother, Madison Clifton.
Paternal family survivors are his; grandfather, William Traina, and wife Angela, of Jonesboro, LA.
Paternal family members who preceded him in death are, John Gordon Murphy, Mildred Murphy, Thomas and Jarmilla Mara, and Dominic and Lillian Traina; and sister, Ferris Gilliam.
A memorial service honoring the life of Mr. Murphy will be announced at a later date.
