Mrs. Williams loved going to church at First United Methodist Church until her health prevented her from going. She was a nurse at Morehouse General Hospital for many years, she was a great nurse and really enjoyed her job. After retiring from Nursing she began tending to her yard and found such joy. Mrs. Williams loved the holidays, decorating and cooking for family and friends, she did not believe in doing anything half way. But her greatest joy was visiting with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Jason Flournoy and wife, Teresa of Bastrop, LA, Lonnie Lewis and wife, Pam of Haynesville, LA; grandchildren, Brookie Ogden and husband, Chris of Log Cabin, LA, Ryan Lewis and wife, Tiah of Lake Charles, LA, Victoria Gonzales and husband, Chris of Calhoun, LA; ten great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Mrs. Williams is preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Williams; parents, Leslie and Lonnie Shirey; siblings, Annie Lena Coates, Marlene Johnson, Myrna Jean Roy; and close friend, and brother-in-law, J.B. Humphrey.
The family would like to express special thanks to Oak Woods, The Columns, and Glenwood for taking such special care of Mrs. Williams.
