Obituary of Edward Michael "Mike" Jones

Edward Michael “Mike” Jones, September 20,1951 - November 26, 2024. Mike was born in Monroe La. He lived in Bastrop La until he moved to Vicksburg in 1969. He worked at Presleys Truck Stop, Shippers Express, Walmart super Center and Wesley B Jones Electrical. After retirement he continued his hobby picking up and selling scrap metal. He is preceded in death by his father, Ethridge Jones, Mother Olivia Sisson Jones, Sister, Lillie Faye Jones. Brothers, Edward Jones, Bruce Jones, Vernon Jones. Brother-in-laws, Leanard Anothony, and Cliff Woodruff. He is survived by his sisters, Nellie Faye Anthony, Bastrop La and Jean Woodruff Oxford Ms. Brothers, Basil Jones (Sharon) Austin Tx, James Jones and EJ Jones (Aleachia) Bastrop La. Sister-in-law, Betty Jones Collinston La. and a host of Nieces, Nephews and friends. The family would like to thank Dr. Pierce, the ICU and 4th floor nurses at Merit Health River Region Hospital for the exceptional care he was given. Mike was one of a kind, He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, December 20, 2024, from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Golden Funeral Home 2016 East Madison Avenue Bastrop, LA.
