Funeral services for Ms. Linda White Durr are scheduled for 2 PM, Monday, January 20, 2025 in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home, with Rev. Eddie Stewart and Rev. Larry Linson officiating. Interment will follow in Christ Church Cemetery. Visitation will take place before the service beginning at noon. Ms. Durr, a resident of Monroe, LA passed away Thursday, January 16, 2025, at the age of seventy-two. She loved her life, her family, and her MPD family of thirty-nine years. She was a proud mother who loved unconditionally and always made herself available to help, give wisdom, and scold when needed. Ms. Durr was a member of First Baptist Church in West Monroe. She was a wonderful artist and loved to craft and paint. She also loved seeing everyone's faces when their artwork was completed. She was the definition of a Godly woman who loved so many and was truly loved in return. She is preceded in death by her parents, L. Virgil "Buddy" White and Annie Laura McDonald White; step-son, Clint Durr; and brother, Virgil White. She is survived by her son, Wayland Ray Durr and his father, Wayland Durr; step-son, Rodney Durr; sisters, Vicki Gregory and Barbie Kesey, and husband Ken; and her cat that she loved dearly, Kitty Baby. Serving the family as pallbearers will be Ron Schleuter, Ben Baw, Marvin Dearman, Mark Huggins, Sean Reddick, and Craig Honeycutt. Honorary pallbearers are Willie Buffington, Evelyn Robinson, Paul Harper, Charles "Chum" Huggins, Jimmy Crockett, Rick Jones, Mac Anderson, Gaye Barnes, Judy Humble, Billy Kemp, Hazel Ray, Tom Jones, Marcus Thomas, and Cody Gregory. Memorial contributions may be made to the Monroe Police Department in Linda's honor.
