Obituary of Douglas Herrington

Graveside funeral services for Mr. Douglas Herrington, age 64, are scheduled for 11 AM Wednesday, January 10, 2018, at Memorial Park Cemetery, with Bro. Tim Post officiating under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 9 AM to 10:30 AM at Goldens.

Mr. Herrington, a welder, passed away Saturday, January 6, 2018 in Shreveport. Mr. Herrington began his career at nineteen years old. He loved the Boston Red Sox and NASCAR Racing. Mr. Herrington loved to spend time with family and grilling for them. He was a simple man and enjoyed the simple life. If you were his friend, you were a friend for life.

He is survived by his mother, Frances Herrington; daughter, Rebecca Wallace and husband Steve; son, John Herrington; grandchildren, Cadge Wallace, Gabe Herrington and Cheyanne Herrington.

Mr. Herrington is preceded in death by his father, Harold Herrington and all of his grandparents.

Honorary pallbearers will be Don Leonard, Scott Crnkovic, Derrall Naff and the welders of Union 798.
