Dear Ms. Bunch, Perry, Linda, Andy and Ryan,
I wanted to send you note to say how sorry I was to learn that Mr. Bunch had passed away. Although I moved away from Bastrop after I graduated from college, I have stayed in touch with Bastrop and PVA through my sister and parents. Mr. Bunch did so much for PVA and he and the rest of the Board really did a fine job guiding the school in the early years. It was Mr. Bunch who introduced me to frog hunting and he was kind enough to take me and my dad frog hunting on numerous occasions. I remember him being at most all our all our PVA sports events and always so kind and friendly.
It is so difficult to lose those we love and who have helped shape our own lives. I hope the many great memories of him will sustain you at this difficult time. I really enjoyed the slide show and it was so much fun to see so many pictures of your family. It brought back many great memories for me from the PVA days.
I am thankful Mr. Bunch touched my life and please know that I am thinking of you all and keeping you in my prayers.
Sincerely,
Win Brandon

So so sorry for your loss. I will miss seeing Mr. Thelbert taking his afternoon walks in the neighborhood and talking about the farms and crops. He was so proud of his family and I know he will be sorely missed.

As long as I can remember from being a little girl in McGinty to a grown woman I have always respected and admired Mr. Thelbert. He was always kind and spoke to you with warmth and respect. I will never forget the time my family went to Dog Patch with Mr. Thelbert, Ms. Janet, Perry, Linda and Andy. I am not sure who dared who but Mr. Thelbert and Momma apparently dared each other to ride the roller coaster. They rode it believe it or not. I can see Mr. Thelbert out front of our little church, New Hope Baptist, after services talking to Daddy and other men. Mr. Thelbert was held in such high esteem by anyone who knew him, a man of his word. Our little part of the world was a much better place because Mr. Thelbert lived there. I love you Bunch family and I will be praying for you. Debbie Matheny
