I have know KEITH all my life. We lived across the street from each other on Naff. Ther was a group of us that played together. In that group was me, my brother Kelly, Keith, Billy Myers, Butch Holloway, Tony Roberts, Randy Manley, Mark Forman, and some times, Gary Mobley. We rode bikes, played baseball and football. We built a three story tree house in what we called the alley. That was by Butch’s house before they built South Elm extension. There was a trail that we called the “Alligator Trail” that we rode bikes on or walked. That was house we could get to Petrus’ pond. We enjoyed growing up in that neiborhood. The one thing that I remember most was when Mr. Pylant wanted Keith to come home. He would stand out on the driveway and holler “EMMITT KEITH”. You could hear him all over the neighborhood. The Pylants were like my second family and I will never forget them. Keith is now with Mr. Pylant, Mrs. Pylant & Jerrene and will never be forgotten.

I am truly heartbroken over the reality of Keith’s passing. It will be one of those questions I will ask about when I join him in Heaven one day. I always knew from others that he was a good guy but when our parents were in the nursing home, I had several conversations with him that let me learn more about the man he was. He had a great, loving heart. I am thankful I got to know him better. God bless you all as your lives will take on a new normal but I know he wants you all to be strong and happy.
