Obituary of Emmitt Keith Pylant
Funeral services for Mr. Emmitt Keith Pylant, age 61, are scheduled for 10 AM Monday, July 2, 2018, at Cherry Ridge Baptist Church with Bro. Dennis Hackler and Bro. Warren Eckardt officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, July 1, 2018 from 5 PM - 7 PM at Golden Funeral Home.
Mr. Pylant, a paper mill mechanic, passed away Thursday, June 28, 2018 in Houston, Texas. He was a member of North Monroe Baptist Church (Monroe Campus). He adored his family and was grateful for the opportunity to hold his new grandson. Mr. Pylant was also a member of the Archery Shooter’s Association. Archery was his favorite hobby and he traveled for over twenty years to national competitions. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and outdoorsman. He was a man of great character and was a helping hand to anyone in need. His honesty and respect made him the epitome of a Godly Christian man.
He is survived by his wife of thirty-eight years, Jayne Freeland Pylant; daughter, Jessica Albritton and husband Jeff; sister, Becky Zagar and husband Frank; grandchildren, Tucker Albritton, Amelia Albritton and Olivia Albritton.
Mr. Pylant is preceded in death by his parents, H.E. and Lucille Pylant and sister, Jerrene Allbritton.
Serving the family as pallbearers will be Robert Carter, Brian Jones, Bucky Tynes, Richard Freeland, Scotty Crockett and Kendall Stracener.
Honorary pallbearers are the Deacons of Cherry Ridge Baptist Church and Dr. Arthur Liles.
Memorial contributions may be made to: North Monroe Baptist Church (Monroe Campus) Building Fund.
