Bro. Mac, a retired Southern Baptist Minister, passed away Saturday, June 29, 2019 at the age of eighty-four.

He is survived by his wife of sixty-five years, Leah McCollough; daughters, LuAnne Bryan and husband Mike, Marian Riles and husband Dennis; son, Harrie McCollough and wife Nancy;  son-in- law, Shelby Moore; brothers, Wilbourne McCollough and wife Carol, and Kennieth McCollough and wife Nila; twenty-nine grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Bro. McCollough is preceded in death by his parents, Myles and Amanda McCollough; daughters, Diane Moore and Karian Powell; siblings, Bonnie Broadhead and Marian Colleen McCollough.

He was a true servant of the Lord, having served as pastor of Morton Baptist Church, Morton, MS, Greenfield Baptist Church, Greenville, MS, Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Crossett, AR, First Baptist Church, Bastrop, and Highway Baptist Church, N. Little Rock, AR.  Upon his retirement, he served as interim pastor for eleven diffferent churches, and completed his ministry as pastor of Bethel Baptist Church in Bastrop.  He not only served the churches he pastored, he also served the local association in every available capacity.  Bro. Mac served on many of the Louisiana Baptist Convention committees, as well as, the Executive Board of the LBC.  On the national level, he served as a board member of the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention. He traveled the world on mission trips to Africa, Brazil, India, South Korea, and the Ukraine.  Everyone who knew him knew that there was nothing more important in his life than serving his Lord and Savior, a task to which he remained faithful until his health forced him to retire.

While serving the Lord was his lifelong ministry, his family was his heart.  His wife, Leah stood alongside him all their years of ministry and offered encouragement, support, and love along the way.  His children always knew of his love for them and of his love for Jesus, as he pointed each one of them to the Savior in word and in deed.  His grandchilren and great-grandchildren were the love of his life and his smile would light up the room any time they were near.

His grandsons and great grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 2, 2019 from 5 PM - 7 PM at First Baptist Church

To know Bro. Mac was to love him and Heaven is a sweeter place now that he is there.

"His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.”  Matthew 25: 33
