I didn't know her personally, just from seeing her in the lobby at Lagniappe Nursing Home while visiting my mother. Ms. Mary Alice ALWAYS had such a beautiful smile on her face. She always spoke to me and my family any time we saw her. My grand daughters enjoyed waving at her when they would come to visit. She was a lovely lady with a wonderful spirit. My condolences for your loss.

Longtime friendship with Wayne and Becky Freeman, afforded me the honor of meeting "Aunt Alice" and visiting with her on several occasions. She was a lovely lady and so much fun to be around. God Bless Her!

Alice Stevens is my aunt and my example of faithfulness to God, church and family. As a child, I spend many hours with her. She had the 'patience of Job" in working with young people. She let me cook with her, shop with her, drive her Nash Rambler (with her in the car, of course). She was the youth leader in the Epps Church of God where I grew up. She was the president of the LWWB (Ladies' Willing Worker Band). She never let a holiday pass that she did not go way beyond what was required in that she wrote the Christmas plays, organized fund raisers, diligently encouraged the youth in leadership and learning the Bible. She taught Sunday School.....she was always involved, a "go-getter" in everything she did. She never had any children of her own, but was a mother to everyone. Loved her much....will miss her!RBD2H
