I didn't have the pleasure of meeting Joe until 5 or 6 years ago, but he became very special to our family quickly and adopted my Mom, Dad and I. He brought us joy and laughter at a particularly difficult time - I hope that we were able to do the same for Joe.. I believe in my heart that he has been reunited with his true love, Kay, and that his heart is whole once more.

I am so sorry to hear about Joe. Looking at these pics brings back so many memories of the Crenshaw family. I remember going to Collinston to their home and the home of Aunt Shirleen and Uncle Leon. These were the good old days. May the Heavenly Father wraps his loving arms around each and everyone and give you comfort. My prayers are with you at this time.

Mrs.Kay, I lived by y'all a few years. I remember him always driving his orange truck. He always had a smile on his face and was known to be very much in love with you. I think that in itself is a great legacy. I am very sorry for your loss of Joe on this earth, but only for a little while. It will be so wonderful to see him with Jesus one day. Sincerely, Rhonda Armfield Lindsay

I knew Joe from high school days when he played basketball for Collinston and I attended Oak Ridge Highschool and I played for Oak Ridge. We were in the same hunting club for decades and he was always a Christian gentleman and a pleasure to be with. My condolences to the family, he will be missed.

Joe was “the best friend” to Rem Kennedy and also a wonderful friend to me. He always called to chat and started the conversation with Hey Mama. Loved this guy!
