I was so blessed to get to talk to him on the phone the day before he got so bad.. I called to speak with his sister Jan and he answered the phone. He said, Well Hon I didn't know it was you, how are you doing? I got my last chance to tell him I loved him. There are so many things and times together that I will never forget. My prayers are with the family and all the friends.. For Ashton, his son, who has stood beside his Dad through all of this. He loved you Ashton. He talked about you a lot to me.. Also son Scott, he also spoke of you often Scott and he loved you dearly. For sister Lois, coming as soon as he called her and told her he needed her help. He always spoke highly of you Ms. Lois and he loved you. For sister Jan who has also stood beside him not just during his illness but through many years of taking care of him. He loved her dearly. He loved life and he enjoyed life. I was honored to be able to call you my friend. Will miss you always. RIP!

I met Floyd some 48 years ago when I was just a teen in welding school. I always liked & respected him because he didn't talk down to any of us kids. He treated us as equals. He wasn't much more than a kid himself when he went to nam. I found out later that he didn't return from Vietnam all together. Just another soldier who paid the price for our freedom. What an awesome legacy!
Thanks Floyd & Gods speed
We lift all of Floyds family in prayer @ this time of great loss. May God grant the peace that surpasses all understanding.
