Seth D. Williamson, a minister and resident of Bastrop, LA, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2020, at the age of thirty-five. He is survived by his wife, Tara White Williamson; daughter Adalyn Reese Williamson; sons, Jase Nathaniel Williamson and Jaxon Wyatt Williamson; parents, Dane Williamson of Oklahoma City, OK and Rebecca Rose of Bastrop, LA; two sisters, Brooke Williamson and her daughters Khloe and Makayla of Nederland, Tx, and Blake Dubin of San Diego, CA.; Grandmother, Elois Breland of Bastrop, LA; Mother-in-law and Father-in-law, Kenneth and Teresa White of Bastrop, LA; Brother-in-laws, Eric White of Swartz, LA, Dean White, his wife Beth and daughter Aria of Bastrop, LA; a host of loving Aunts, Uncles, cousins, and friends.
Mr. Williamson is preceded in death by his Grandparents, Palmer and Rose Williamson; Grandfathers, Kenneth Fife, Bernard Breland.
An Associate Pastor at Evangel Assembly and a Credentialed Minister with the Louisiana Assemblies of God, Seth was not only a minster by vocation but in everyday life. Seth wanted to leave this world making an impact for the Kingdom of God. He did that faithfully and daily. He devoted his life showing Christ’s love and compassion. He had a special gift of reaching out to the hurting and making them feel valued. Seth put his words into action and led by example of what a man of God exemplifies.
He was a loving and devoted husband and father. His family was his joy and he will be missed greatly by them. He left behind such a legacy for them to follow. A friend to many, Seth was surrounded by people who cared deeply for him. He brought laughter and joy to everyone he met. Seth enjoyed spending time with those he loved watching movies, talking politics, cracking jokes, and of course solving the world’s problems.
Seth will be forever missed, and the world is a better place because he was in it. Follow by the example that he left behind, reach out to the hurting, offer love and compassion, do good not for your gain but for the good of those around you, and make each day count. Though our hearts are broken and hurting, we know that he is rejoicing in the presence of the Lord.
Memorial Services for Mr. Williamson will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be sent to YMI, Young Ministers Institute. YMI disciples young adults and helps them best attend to the needs of people put in their path. This ministry was dear to Seth’s heart as he attended as a teen and later as a speaker. Donations can be mailed to Louisiana District Council, Attn: YMI at P.O. Box 7388 Alexandria, LA 71306 or online at lasom.org under the Student Life section, Attn: YMI
