Obituary of Brent Michael Butler

Funeral services for Mr. Brent Michael Butler, a resident of Mer Rouge, LA, are scheduled for 10 AM Thursday, July 23, 2020 in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home, with Bro. Jerry Stuckey Officiating. Interment will follow in the Mer Rouge Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 - 7 PM, Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at Goldens. Mr. Butler passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2020, at the age of thirty. Brent was a member of the Pipeliners Local Union 798 out of Tulsa, OK, where he worked as a Journeyman. Brent is survived by his wife, Skylar Butler of Downsville, LA; children, Lexie Rae Butler and Ledger Waylon Butler; father, Edwin Johnson (Michael) of Greensboro, NC; mother, Shannon Kellick (Randy) of Mer Rouge, LA; paternal grandparents, Edwin and Martha Johnson of Bastrop, LA; maternal grandparents, Tommy Ray and Phyllis Butler of Mer Rouge, LA; great grandmother, Mrs. William E. Adams of Bonita, LA; sister, Hannah Alexis Grissom of Mer Rouge, LA; brother, James Tanner Kellick of Mer Rouge, LA, and niece, Ford Bader, of Bastrop, LA.. Serving the family as pallbearers will be Clark Turner, Jack Henry Turner, Sterling Turner, Tanner Kellick, Chip Bower, and Jonathon Bader. Honorary pallbearer is Patrick Golden.
